Chileheads, we need your help again!

We don’t normally do this, but we feel that this post is worth reproducing in its entirety. Thanks to Scott Roberts for posting this on his site, and we are friends with the Huddlestons and would love to see them get some all-too-needed assistance:

David “Hudd” Huddleston is a friend and brother to many of [...]

Potluck recipe contest

At my workplace, most of the people there are not chileheads nor do they eat a lot of spicy foods. Some of this has changed since I was hired, with my seemingly never-ending barrage of hot sauces, salsas, and other spicy goodies I have brought to work.

Still recovering from the Weekend of Fire

After a weekend’s worth of hot sauces and other spicy fare, I am somehow still recovering a bit from this past weekend’s festivities. It’s not that anything in particular was overly stressful, but between all the travel, eating, and shmoozing…I am still just plain tired.
Above you can see a horseradish root. I publish [...]

Quite simply, the DEFCON Deathmatch has become the premiere event of the whole Jungle Jim’s “Weekend of Fire” extravaganza. Last night was no different…and thanks to Scott Roberts for recording this great video of the event.
Also, there is a nice summation article in today’s Cincinnati.com about all the contests as well:

Smoky Chicken Chowder

Well, my wife wanted to enter a chili into a cookoff/fundraiser for her church. She asked me for help. So I basically took over. I told her we would make a smoked white chicken chili. Turned out she waited too long to inform anyone she wanted to submit an entry. Oh darn, 3 gallons of [...]
