I was thinking that Heartbreaking Dawns was doing a hot cornbread eating contest.
Not real thrilled with the random drawing for 20 contestants on the wing eating contest.
Oh well!

Count me in for entering with my Buddahmole in your guac challenge. We are co-sponsoring the HBD’s Scorn Bread Challenge which is replacing the fore mentioned Brownie contest which will be repeated for the upcoming Weekend of Fire show in October. There is also going to be a Vendor only contest that I am preparing as soon as I get all the emails from the participating vendors at the show. I think that is what the “People’s Choice” thingy might be alluding to.
Of course, barring any inclement weather, I will do my best to be there. I look forward to seeing everyone again.

emailed Mary this afternoon entering our entries. 2 sauces, a salsa, Betty’s doing chili. Danny’s doing the wing contest, well if his name gets drawn. I’m doing the brownie/cornbread? eating contest. If we make it there this year we’re covered. I’ll know in a few weeks if we’re coming or not this year.

Hot cornbread? That’s another one that will greatly be determined by the dryness factor, a la spicy crackers. Will a dollop of butter be provided for each piece?

I was thinking about making it this year, but having a random entry for the wing contest, and it also being late on Sunday makes it a no go for me.
That art contest looks interesting ….. but it’s on Sunday also.
I have class Monday morning, so I would need to leave Sunday before noon for sure.
Hudd, hopefully Danny gets in the wing contest. I’ll be rootin’ for him if he does. Also for you and Betty too. Go Team Hudd! Woohoo!
Buddah, the People’s Choice award that’s mentioned is most likely for the chili, from votes by the people that pay their five bucks for tasting from what I remember in the past.
