Did you know that Cleopatra attributed a portion of her beauty to pickles? Also, did you know that Americans consume 26 billion pickles a year? I learned these facts from the label of Crazy Steve’s Cajun Cukes. Gotta love a product that both feeds you AND teaches you something new.

Crazy Steve’s Cajun Cukes: Ingredients: Cucumbers, water, distilled vinegar, salt, Jalapeno peppers, celery, fresh thyme, fresh oregano, spices.

This product has a great look to it. Nice sized slices of cukes and a few Jalapenos float amongst a plethora of spices in a nice brine. Right when you bite into the first slice you are hit with some great flavors. All the spices pile on top of each other just as you would expect from a good pickle. There is a slight heat from the Jalapenos but not much due to the pickling process. It hits the front of the tongue and then melts away, leaving you with the fantastic flavor of pickled spices.

The best part of this product is it is extremely crisp and crunchy. One thing I hate is a soft pickle. I want then to have a crunch to them and not feel like I’m eating vinegar flavored mush. Crazy Steve really nails the crunchy pickle without the help of pickle crisp.

Whither you are at a picnic, barbequing on the back patio, or just wanting a quick snack, Crazy Steve’s Cajun Cukes definitely hit the spot. My primary use was as a side for when I grill up burgers outside. It gives my meal that great, summertime feel to it. Keep up the good work, Steve!
