Confetti Peppers

We were introduced to the Confetti Peppers products at this past Jungle Jim’s Weekend of Fire show, and wasn’t really sure what to think of them…other than that they tasted good in all the samples we tried. However, would these be a niche sorta item or would it be a condiment that we would [...]

Passow Still Loves Pronouncing Benito

Yep, that company name is still a blast to say. Originally this was to be just an email of my thoughts on his new sauce but since I had a little time today I’ve decided to do a full blown review of Benito’s White Hot.

Mad Cow Naga Jolokia Sauce

While we try to avoid re-reviewing sauces that any of our other writers have done (there are a lot of sauces out there, y’know,) I found myself drawn to this Mad Cow Naga Jolokia Sauce more than some of the others. Our good friend Passow passed along a bottle of this sauce a few [...]

The Hot Pepper Awards 2009

Unlike some of the other industry awards which have, at times, been just glorified ways of fundraising/advertising, we’ve always thought that the Hot Pepper Awards were a more honest and integrity-laden assessment of submitted products. Hopefully, we won’t find out someday that we have been wrong about that too…but for now, here is some [...]

Passow Becomes a Cajun Citizen

Joe and Linda did a wonderful Featured Product Review for Big Orson Sauce & Salsa Factory, Inc. a few months ago. I was so impressed with his Mango Habanero Salsa that I felt compelled to do my own review of it.
Big Orson’s Citizen Cajun Hot Ingredients: Mangoes, onions, Green and Red Bell Peppers, water, tomatoes [...]
