Passow Gnaws On Hazelnut Bark

Marco from Marco’s Not Yet Famous threw me a bag of this to review when I was at the Weekend of Fire this year. Not being one to turn down a tasty snack for review, I accepted.
Marco’s Red Savina Chocolate Hazelnut Bark Ingredients: Chocolate (unsweetened chocolate, sugar, cocoa butter, milk fat, soy lecithin (an emulsifier) and vanilla), Hazelnuts (Hazelnuts, BHT (0.02%) in corn oil added to preserve freshness) and Red Savina Habanero Chili powder.
This is going to be a short review because really, there’s not much too the product. It primarily tastes of Chocolate (no big surprise there) and is a mix between a sweet chocolate and baking chocolate making it not overtly sweet. This is good because I’m not a huge fan of sweet things. Up next is the Hazelnuts. As the chocolate melts in your mouth (not in you hands and for sure not under your arm pits…why would you put chocolate there in the first place) the fruity Red Savina flavor starts to come out along with the heat.
The heat is a pleasant burn but not overwhelming. Even eating a lot in one setting didn’t really set me off into an endorphin rush but definitely enough sugar to make me hyper. There is a slight back of the throat tingle but for the most part it’s a center of the tongue burn. This is a great snack product, thick, smooth with a little crunch, and some heat. Definitely worth it.
