Cool new stuff available from Blue’s BBQ
Steve Burnham is one of our esteemed writers on this blog. When not making music or stuff in his smoker, he also makes some pretty darn good hot sauce (see Steve’s Blue’s BBQ website.) He’s been recently re-vamping his hot sauce labels and also has a swanky-cool new t-shirt as well. Check these out:

Feel free to check Steve’s website out for yourself. Maybe pick up some hot sauce or a t-shirt while you’re at it….

Super cool t-shirt! I’ve been meaning to try this stuff. I think I will add this to my x-mas wish list!

Definitely like the look of the label and shirt… but anyone tried this sauce? More sugar than pepper makes me hesitant. Seems like it’d be too sweet and not very hot – though I suppose ‘natural flavor’ is probably extract. hmmmm

Hey Sam:
The Carolina Pepper Sauce is not hot and it is fairly sweet. It is what we use in NC as a vinegar based thin BBQ sauce on all types of pork, steak chicken, salad, etc. This sauce is more of an all purpose table condiment, good on just about everything. No extract.
Shirts are now available but I haven’t figured out the paypal coding on the order products page. Just drop me a note on the “Contact ” page. $18.00 + $5.00 shipping. Any size.

Not too hot? “Assorted chles” can cover a lot of ground
He uses a fair amount of Red Savina(R) in his reserve so he knows what hot is.
“Natural Flavors” can indeed mean ‘extract’ but it can also mean a lot of other things, including coloring (oleoresin paprika). Steve’s a super nice guy (and not just ’cause he gets chiles from me) & he’d likely be happy to tell you if it has extract or not.

Greetings Jim and all!
No extract in my Carolina Pepper sauce. No heat at all, just a bite. Natural flavors are from natural tomatoes and natural lemon juice. Assorted peppers are “crushed red peppers” which inlude cayenne, habanero and jalapeno. The peppers are there for flavor not heat. Hope this shores up any confusion. My Habanero Reserve has heat, Carolina Pepper Sauce does not. My next sauce to introduce will be hot! News on that later.

It is a quality tasting sauce which is like a thin bbq sauce. I highly recommend it. The guitar label looks snazzy.
