Review graciously donated by Troy “Generallee” Hangen of TTF:
Hey Y’all!
Third review for the All American Hot Sauce Company and the victim this time is the Northeast.
A somewhat delectable tomato and Horseradish blend. I wish I could just jump into this one and rant and rave, but unfortunately I can’t go there with this one. I am sure that Buddah has already listed the ingredients so I will just dive into this one.
Consistency – finally a thickness that I like. In between Tabasco and warm syrup.
Color – nice burnt auburn in color.
Smell – not too much at all. Maybe a bit to tomato-y to the schnoz. (more on that to come)
Taste – bout a C- (now let me explain…
The infamous pizza and Dragon Dog where my specimens.

Pizza – I couldn’t get into this one. It just tasted way to much like ketschup and marinara. I slathered the heck out of my pizza and I got nothing. The heat wasn’t there. Maybe a small kick at the end but I was expecting all the hair on my back to stand up and do-ci-do but nuttin. Not even a nuttin Honey.

Dragon Dog – (view above pic to see what that is.)
I have to say, the flavor on the dog was better than the pizza. The sauce tasted like spicy ketchup. Still no heat but fairly flavorful.
Overall, I have to say that the first 2 were much better sauces. I don’t use it on many more foods due to time constraints. If I had to do it again, I may try it on maybe pork chops. Sorry to say, this one just didn’t cut it for me.
Suffern Bros. – not to worry, you are still batting 2-3 in my book. That is .667 in baseball and you can get in the Hall of Fame with them numbers.
Look forward to the last review next week and happy caviar dreams and Evian showers!!

Goes to show Southerners do not know how to eat like the great people in the Northeast.

You should have tried it on sea food.
Oysters, shrimp etc.
Our web site suggests these foods for the Northeast.
Next time try and visit the web site for good examples of what foods taste best with our sauces.

well, i have been thinking a bit…
ouch! that hurt.
the more i think of this particular condiment, the more i think it should not be called a “hot sauce” but more like a “cocktail sauce”.
reason why - i was just browsing the web and found this…
Ingredients:
6 tablespoons tomato ketchup
2 tablespoons horseradish
4 tablespoons lemon juice
celery salt to taste
tabasco sauce
basis recipe for cocktail sauce. i figure if i made this and put it next to the northeast sauce, they’d probably taste pretty close. not to put the sauce down but maybe list the uses for it next time like other hot sauce makers do. just a recomendation. i feel i shouldnt have to search the web to figure out what the best food the sauce goes on, i feel it should be on the label. just my $.02 you can give me change if you wish.

Not a ‘punch’ just a ‘push’ to the web site.
Yes, know one needs to be told what tastes good where but ‘hot sauce’ can be used on almost anything. ( I’ll leave that up for your imagination’.
Every one has a basic recipe for any item. It’s how you make it your own is the art of a chef/cook.
Since hot sauce adds to any meal we wanted our sauces to enhance for different reasons. Sometimes these tastes tend to go better for most people on certain items… Hot and Tasty
By the way no one tried the Northeast in a Bloody Mary………
Generallee– I have too much respect for the south to upset our long peace between our latitudes. So for that reason, it would be my honor to send you $.01.

I hate Bloody Marys. The good General is eating food he has had great experiences with hot sauce on, but this particular product is different. It is far from cocktail sauce though. The horseradish and tomato are similar, but because I am a lover of cocktail sauce this product is far from its likeness.
Because of the thinness of these sauces, they are best used to soak into food not to lay upon food. The hot dog and pizza just couldn’t benefit from the flavor, so I think you didn’t get the flavor combo you would’ve liked. Just my opinion.
