Because of the thinness of these sauces, they are best used to soak into food not to lay upon food. The hot dog and pizza just couldn’t benefit from the flavor, so I think you didn’t get the flavor combo you would’ve liked. Just my opinion.

Yes, know one needs to be told what tastes good where but ‘hot sauce’ can be used on almost anything. ( I’ll leave that up for your imagination’.
Every one has a basic recipe for any item. It’s how you make it your own is the art of a chef/cook.

6 tablespoons tomato ketchup
2 tablespoons horseradish
4 tablespoons lemon juice
celery salt to taste
tabasco sauce

basis recipe for cocktail sauce. i figure if i made this and put it next to the northeast sauce, they’d probably taste pretty close. not to put the sauce down but maybe list the uses for it next time like other hot sauce makers do. just a recomendation. i feel i shouldnt have to search the web to figure out what the best food the sauce goes on, i feel it should be on the label. just my $.02 you can give me change if you wish.
