Our hometown of Columbus, Ohio had a pretty decent writeup on CNN.com recently. You can see it at:

Columbus, Ohio’s happening side

One important mention was that of Jeni’s Ice Creams, a favorite spot for sweets when we go to the North Market. Many moons ago, we did a quickie review of their Thai Chile Ice Cream…which is a little spicy but a whole lot good. We also heartily recommend their Queen City Cayenne also. It’s a cayenne-infused chocolate ice cream that’s a bit spicier than the Thai Chile, but mondo good. Here’s the info for those:

Queen City Cayenne
Condensed milk chocolate “Cincinnati style” with cayenne and cinnamon!

Thai Chili
Krema Peanut Butter (a Columbus company since 1898), with toasted coconut, cayenne and coconut milk.

There are several locations, although we’ve been to just the North Market one. If you’re ever here in town, try to stop by one of these Jeni’s locations:

Merchants here in the Market are experts in their fields, so whenever we find ourselves in need of inspiration, they are our first consultants.
