“Wings of Fire” event update
For those of you making the trip to sunny Columbus, Ohio next weekend for the Wings of Fire event at the North Market Fiery Foods Festival, there is an important announcement for you.
CaJohn has made the competition a little tougher. 
Where there was originally just one field of contestants, there are now two. One group will feature the general public, including anyone deluded/brave/insane enough to tackle several rounds worth of spicy wings. The other group will be the diehard chileheads/hot sauce heads making the trip for the competition. Consider these people the BCS teams of the championship competition. This group will also face some ratcheted-up heat levels with their rounds of three wings to eat, so you better teflon-coat your taste buds now. This is definitely going to be a treat.
We’ll be there to either experience for ourselves (if Joe has a shot or two of tequila first) or simply photograph it for posterity. Either way, it’s gonna be quite entertaining. Stay tuned!

Bad news…. I was looking for flights (thanks for the info John)…. but then the wife reminded it is my Godmothers 80th birthday on Saturday. No way I can make it.
Oh well…. JJ’s will be here soon enough. I am also looking at ZF in Miami

I had planned on going just to sample the chili cook off. Now it looks like I’m doing the wing thing and meeting several fellow chiliheads. I don’t think I’ll have to work so I’ll be there. Can’t wait.

CaJohn has mentioned a dinner possibility at a Mexican place not too far away from the event. Anyone up for some good Mexican food? If so, do chime in and say so.

Conditions are favorable at the moment for a couple of gators in OH this weekend.
My nephew mat be able to make the trip with me and split costs. Dalton was the one that joined me on the infamous Defcon Day roadtrip that gave birth to the “gatorman” nickname.
If things work out with his schedule, then it’s a go for the road trip.
I’m in on the Mexican food if i make it up there.

That would be great exepct my parents were thinking of driving me there and back. They were thinking of leaving at the end of the show though…hmm…..
