devilduck.jpegHello everyone! Devil Duck here. Some of you know me, some of you don’t, and some could probably care less either way. That being said….

My real name is Lynn Duck, and I’m an amateur sauce maker trying to make the big transition into professional arena. I’ve loved hot and spicy foods ever since my family moved to the San Francisco Bay Area back in 1979 and I first popped a little jalapeño pepper at a Mexican restaurant. My life changed forever.

Since our beloved Passow will not be able to make the annual pilgrimage to Albuquerque this year to cover the Fiery Foods Show, I thought to myself, “Well, I live here and I’m going to be at the show anyway… I can cover it!” Joe and Linda were kind enough to agree.

So, here I am! I just need to shake off the writer’s rust (which is what I’m trying to do here) and I’ll give you open to close coverage complete with “after hours” goings on. Look for some lesser known companies to appear in my coverage as well as interviews, pictures, and reviews of the events, all of the wonderful hot sauces, snacks and BBQ sauces. Since this will be a very daunting task, I’ve recruited my lovely wife to help cover the BBQ side of things (She’s a BBQ freak!).

If you’re going to be there, look for the guy in the picture. I’ll probably have a black leather trench coat with a flaming shirt on, sweat on my brow and a camera in my hand.

See you there!

Congrats on getting the gig Lynn! I know you’ll do great. I’ve known you for a year or two and in that time you’ve proven to be a great chili-head and an even better friend. You’ll fit right in here and best of luck with the gig!

Maybe our paths will cross. Maybe in a year, someone will be interviewing you about your hot sauces. See ya in NM.
