Just a quick update on the latest news about the Raising the HEAT for Autism fundraiser here at the Hot Zone Online:
- First things first…about the length of the event, we’ve decided to extend the ending date of our fundraiser from Jan. 14 to January 31, 2008. We’re still getting money in for the stuff, and want to give more time to sell off more items.
- Still quite a few Epidemic Proportions collectible bottles still available. Contact us if you want to reserve one.

- For those of you who have bought and paid for one (1) bottle of Epidemic Proportions, we have way overestimated the cost of shipping by using a flat-rate Priority Mail box. It’s far more than you should be spending, based on what the USPS is calculating for domestic shipping. Shipping & handling should be closer to $7 rather than the $10 we charged everyone. NOTE: For anyone who purchased a single bottle, we will wait for the USPS to deliver our smaller boxes for Priority Mail. This will delay shipping another week. If you MUST have it now, we will try to find boxes laying around that can be used until we get the others. Just let us know.
That said, anyone who wants the difference in shipping costs refunded to them and we will do so via Paypal. If you don’t want the three bucks back, we’ll just donate it to Autism Speaks along with all the rest of the money. All you need to do is request this and we will gladly accomodate this.
- Not all the auctions on eBay sold for the hot sauce/salsa/spicy food care packages. We will be re-posting those with “Buy It Now” options for anyone who just wants to purchase and not go through the whole bidding process. Stay tuned for those listings when available.

A post with the Post Office logo. And Buddah is the first one to chime in. What are the odds in that?

Hey guys! I ordered two bottles (#23 and random higher number). Go ahead and donate whatever’s left for me!
I’m curious as to your wording though, you specifically mention people that only ordered one bottle. Is it different for those of us who ordered more? Whichever way it goes, definitely please donate anything that’s left of mine to the charity.
Can’t wait for my bottles!

I got my 2 “Epidemic Proportion” bottles today in the mail, along with my Ron Jeremy Autographed bottle. I only hope he signed it with his hands.
The ‘EP’ bottles look as great as advertised. You can say goodbye to #140/150 because that is about to go through some de-waxification and onto the conveyor-belt of flavor testing.

Oh wow, that packs some serious heat. Very nice though. Immediate sweat and throat burn. I guess I should have read the label before trying this stuff. I am not one that can identify flavors of the peppers, but I certainly can identify a bit of an italian flare to it. Yes, oregano! What an interesting flavor. I feel like I just had a bite of some very hot pizza, and I want more. Nice job guys. What do you recommend for food of choice for this baby?

“What do you recommend for food of choice for this baby?”
It’s a little too hot to use straight up for most things except in the smallest of amounts, but I (Joe) love it in soups, stews, and chili. I’ve even added it to my quasi-egg scramble in the a.m. for a little caspaicin rush in the morning.
