“SNAKEBITE” Sauce from the chileman.org
I was lucky enough to receive a bottle of the latest “Snakebite” sauce from my good friend Mark Mcmullan at the chileman.org The ingredients are: onions, carrots, vinegar, naga morich, red chilis, ginger, sugar, red bell peppers, garlic, olive oil, salt.
On opening the sauce the first thing I noticed was how thick it was, but this sauce is crammed full of naga morich – 10 whole pods to be precise! Now as you all know eating one is a silly thing to do, but 10 in one sauce….man this is going to hurt.
First things first “The finger test” you know the one, I placed my finger into the top of the bottle then in my mouth. Straight away “Wham” this is super hot, from the start and with a good burn time of around one hour, just from the finger test! The flavour that came through the most was the ginger, it just sits there in the background almost laughing at you.
I then used some sauce in a ham and cheese sarnie, wow that’s good it enhanced the flavours of the sauce, I could taste the onions and garlic, but boy what a kick, as Mark himself said “I hope it lives up to its ‘Extreme Heat Exquisite Taste’ catch line” and indeed it has.
This sauce in my view is perfect for adding heat to any food, its flavour allows it to adjust to any food it meets, I just can’t wait to add some to my soup later. This is one sauce I shall keep in my fridge over all others and will be on the table for every meal.
So for all you hot heads out there that would like in my opinion the “hottest natural sauce” on the planet then this is the one, you can buy these sauces on Ebay or through the Chileman site itself. So after a day of sweating there is only one last thing for me to do and thats award this sauce 9/10 for flavour and 10/10 for heat. I am now going to put the loo roll in the freezer, and ring Mark to reserve me a dozen bottles! Mark has said that future developments are in place to launch a 20 pod version.
Well that’s it for my first review, if anybody from Europe needs a review of their products, just let me know.
Take it easy out there and happy holidays to all!
Woody
