Just back from Open Fields 2007
Well, after a whirlwind trip to the secret pepper farm in central Indiana
for Open Fields, I have returned to homebase here in Ohio bearing a heap big pile o’ peppers. Pictures to follow soon! There would have been more of those, but a yucky growing season with little rain caused about 80% of the peppers on the plants to not even be ripe. A cool event, so more details to follow. Stay tuned!

Sam,
I had to leave a little early, well before the judging was over. They had barely gotten thru the hot sauces and were still staring at a bunch of amateur-made sauces to get through before tallying the results. Nick from the HSB was involved with that, so that might be where the results first appear. If I hear anything today, I’ll try to post it when I know.
