The Hot Zone

Spicy snacks that are actually both good and spicy are hard to come by, but Kentucky’s own KP’s Specialty Pepper Products has a formula for products that have every chance at becoming hugely popular. Makers of some novel spicy nuts and a few hot sauces, we became acquainted with them at this past Jungle […]

As the owners of several Danny Cash collectibles, let us tell you that they are very cool and well-made pieces. We’ll miss out on our chance to get one of these since we’ll not be able to attend ZestFest 2007, but perhaps you will be lucky enough to get your hands on one for your collection:

Danny Cash’s 2007-2010 Texas Collectables

That’s right! The Cash Crew has done it again with another super cool collectable for less than a night out with friends. This time around, the Crew has stepped it up with a multi-year collection of 4 bottles that complete a picture laid on glass bottles in 10 carat gold ink. From 2007 to 2010, you can get your hands on a piece of the puzzle for only $25. If you want to reserve matching numbers, its $100 up front and they will put your bottles aside so no one else swipes ‘em. This year’s bottles will be brought to Fort Worth and handed out throughout the weekend to the hot sauce industry’s hard core fans, the same for next year and so on. The DC TX Collectables were done in an extremely limited run of only 50 bottles per year. So email Danny Cash to get your name on the list before someone else gets your number. These are sure to go quick! As an extra bonus, Danny Cash has mini bottles of this year’s sauce for everyone that buys the set, so they can actually eat the sauce, and not just stare at it on their shelf wondering what it tastes like! Nice job guys…

We don’t want to leave anyone out, so if anyone can’t make it to Zest Fest, we are holding and shipping reserved bottles once we get back into town. All you need is a PayPal account…

Dude, that’s awesome. A fair amount of collectors can’t make it to all the shows, so it’s great to hear you’ll hold a few back.

Now where’s our Paypal info….;)

Which sauce did you bottle in here? Is it a new sauce? -Lars-

The sauce is something I’ve wanted to do for a coupe of years now. I’m not telling anyone what it is till we get to Ft. Worth. Sorry Lars. It’ll have the mini bottles and we will be sampling it - It’s a home wrecker. It doesn’t have extract, but it’s way hot and damn tasty!

Well, you all know by now that I really don’t quite get the collector’s thing. But this set is really cool looking. Well done, Danny.

Um not to seem obtuse here.

But you are going to fill years 2-4, right?

LOL. No Tina, we like how they look empty! Kidding. Yeah, we’re going to make a special batch each year right before the show like we did before Zestfest. The batch in the 2007 reserve is called ‘Sexual Chocolate’. It’s Chocolate Habaneros, real chocolate, fresh mint, and vinegar. It turned out awesome. It’s hot! And great on ice cream. No idea what we’ll do for the ‘08 bottle yet.

Well, I’m looking forward to seeing how the set looks filled. It sure looks cool empty.
