Shameless in our enjoyment of these products, we got this quick note from the lovely ladies at My Favorite New Mexico Foods, who we had a chance to chat with at the Weekend of Fire show. Wonderful people who make outstanding products. Check this out:

Congrats on all the awards! I would love to hear about this show if anyone has a report. I represented the Dave’s Gourmet Booth there when the show opened and it was a disaster. We came home with more inventory than we started with, and we gave some stuff away.

I’ve heard precious few good things about the organization of the ABF show. Poor management, low turnouts, and poor profits for vendors have been just a few of the comments. Not sure if the MFNM Foods folks actually attended or whether these awards were gotten in absentia. A good question to ask them, we suppose.

Hi Ron,

We actually participated in the 2006 America’s Best show, and made decent contacts….very few sales. The food contest however, we enjoyed participating in both years and have proven to be very valuable for our line of products.

Sincerely,
Kera

Thanks!

We had another exciting day on the world of MFNM Foods. We competed, sampled and sold salsa at the 3rd annual “Hot Time in Old Town” salsa competition in Albuquerque NM today. We won the top award for the Hot Salsa category for our brand new salsa the Rojo Caliente Red Chile Salsa, and also took honors for the Spicy Cocktail Salsa in the Specialty category!
