After much anticipation, our package of pepper plants from Cross Country Nurseries arrived this week. Here are some pics of these as they bask in the sunlight on the windowsill waiting for it to get warm enough to transplant them:

As with last year’s pair of plants, our pepper plants will have names this year as well. Given that we have a dozen of them, they will bear the names of the dwarves from one of Joe’s fave books, J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit:

Balin
Dwalin
Fili
Kili
Ori
Dori
Nori
Bifur
Bofur
Bombur
Oin
Gloin

Sorry, no Thorin Oakenshield this year. Couldn’t get that 13th pepper plant and besides that…who needs one that will try to be the boss of the others? The Bhut Jolokias will do enough of that on their own. ;)
