Finally, we get to take a little vacation and enjoy some quality time away from home & family for a few days. So, we’re jetting off to Las Vegas today for a 4-day, 3-night quickie vacation where we’ll have a chance to de-stimulate a little from all the stuff that goes on around here on a daily basis. We won’t completely be disconnected from all this blogging stuff, though…

Our first-ever trip to Vegas where we’ll be able to stay on the strip. For several reasons, we opted to stay at Treasure Island which you can see above. A tequila bar, fabulous coffee shop (with a Vietnamese eatery serving Pho), and access to some cool parts of the Strip were all part of the decision-making process to stay at TI.

Finally! We get to see a show during a trip to Las Vegas. After some hand-wringing, we opted for a new show called Spamalot, based on the too-cool cult film Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Last, but certainly not least, we’ll undoubtedly take advantage of the opportunity to gamble a little. Linda usually has better luck at the slot machines, but Joe is looking forward to trying his hand at a little Texas Hold ‘Em poker. With any luck, his pre-flop hand will look like this…a lot!
