Lee from Danny Cash gave me a great sauce to review when I was at the Fiery Foods Show. Danny Cash Mean Streak is a hot sauce that combines my two favorite things; Mangos and Chile Peppers!

Ingredients: Fresh Mango, Red Habanero Chile Peppers, Vinegar, and Sugar.

Let me just state that I am a mango freak. I love pretty much anything mango so you can imagine my delight when I got this sauce. The mango flavor is right up front and it is pure heaven. When combined with the sugar the mango makes this sauce extremely sweet (diabetics beware) and because of this it limits the items that it’ll go good on. I’ve found it goes best with sweet and sour pork, any flavor of ice cream, breakfast cereals such as Cheerios or Corn Flake (I know I’m odd for even trying that one), rice, and drunken directly out of the bottle.

Yes, you read that right, drink it out of the bottle. The sugar helps to naturalize the heat in peppers so even though it has Habaneros, the heat really isn’t there. It does have some heat that builds the more you eat it but it’s extremely small and hardly noticeable. I can’t even taste the fruity flavor of the Habanero mainly because the mango dominates this sauce.

I really dig their new label designs too. They compliment Danny’s punk rocker, rebellious youth image with its raised diamond tread plate background and the Ghost Rider esque flaming motorcycles. My compliments to whoever their designer is. Something else caught my eye. They have their address under the ingredients which reads:

Danny Cash Unlimited
2936 S. Zuni St. Unit A

USA, EARTH

“USA, EARTH?” Bwahahahaha! That’s just too classic. Come to think of it, I guess the Fourth Dimensional Reptiles would need to know where to send the check when they order…
