   Not surprised considering you have that Johnathon Passow idiot as a reviewer. He seems to spend more time on the hot pepper than here anyways.

    Joe and Linda,

    I received an email here this morning from one of my customers, directing me to your comments this morning.

    First of all, I have never posted here, at least I don’t believe so, and never since I have been in Saskatchewan. I spend my time elsewhere online.

    Second of all, the IP you listed is from any Sasktel.net customer, it’s the way their system works. The IP is the not trappable if they are using the Sasktel router.
    This IP you listed is not specific to me due to the fact I use proxy servers because of my webhosting and could be from anyone in a 4 block radius using Sasktel.
    Just because I’m the only person anyone knows from Saskatchewan doesn’t make me guilty. FYI, I usually only post from our store, and I use SHAW CABLE not SASKTEL there.

    Third of all, I know who UnReal hot is, and she isn’t me. Again, she’s one of my customers, who just happens to live in Saskatoon, Sk, what a coincidence. But thanks for blaming it on Uncle Big.

    And finally, IF I HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY TO YOU OR ANYONE ELSE, YOU’LL GET IT DIRECTLY FROM ME.
    The comments directed at BLANE (buddy from Hot Sauce Blog) and Jonathon Passow would have came from me if they were from me.

    Considering the fact I just got back to Saskatoon this morning after being out of town, it would make it quite difficult to post from a Saskatoon IP.

    I honestly don’t know why I’m wasting my time, but when someone takes a shot at me, I feel I should stand up for myself.

    So that you know that we are not Internet-newbies, let us say that we know what IP addresses are. For those paying attention to this discussion thread, the definition is:

    An IP address (Internet Protocol address) is a unique address that certain electronic devices use in order to identify and communicate with each other on a computer network utilizing the Internet Protocol standard (IP)—in simpler terms, a computer address. Any participating network device—including routers, computers, time-servers, printers, Internet fax machines, and some telephones—can have their own unique address. Also, many people can find personal information through IP addresses.

    An IP address can also be thought of as the equivalent of a street address or a phone number (compare: VoIP (voice over (the) internet protocol)) for a computer or other network device on the Internet. Just as each street address and phone number uniquely identifies a building or telephone, an IP address can uniquely identify a specific computer or other network device on a network. – Wikipedia definition

    We have a static IP address. Per our experience with Sasktel, we now know that you have a dynamic IP address which changes every 4 hours…to a certain extent. The first several digits don’t change, just the last few, making it possible that your IP covers other people from Saskatchewan (& Saskatoon) as well.

    So, we may have erred and outed you wrongly. We admit that.

    Regardless, we weren’t “taking a shot at anyone”…namely you. All we were doing was an attempt to identify the author of an inflammatory comment who chose not to use a real name.

    We both appreciate and commend you for stepping up and clarifying this issue. Obviously, we won’t be so quick to misidentify someone in this way in the future.

    No worries, Unrealhot, she…well….how do I put this nicely…she DRINKS….A LOT.
    Sheila is very protective of us, we’re new to Saskatoon and has taken us under her wing, loves the fact that we opened a hot sauce store here last year and she’s a lurker on all of the blogs, that’s to me getting her involved online.
    Last night she was perusing the HSB and saw all of the turmoil going on over there and well, the rest is history.

    You are correct in the Sasktel IP dynamic IP, and I was not at all taking a shot at your web savvy. You obviously know what you’re doing, that’s not in question.
    I’m sure that now my IP has changed, probably Regina this time of day, and it should reflect that if you track it back.
    Believe it or not, there’s a not of chiliheads up here that view the blogs daily.

    Concerning BLANE and IMAGUITARGOD, they are very valued posters on the hot blogs and I’m not going to take a shot at them, they know that. They contribute greatly to the communities which they are part of on a daily basis.

    Here’s what I think. We should strike UnRealHot’s comments, yours to me and mine to you, shake hands and walk away as fellow fiery food lovers and friends.

    Great thing about Joe and Linda is that they are fair up front with there approach, no shady business here…

    I was not banned from the HSB as you can see, so it wasn’t running to another site…. I have chose to come here, which I’ve posted on the Zone way before issue’s on the HSB…. If you choose to conform please by all means be a follower on the HSB.. But for me I enjoy up front honesty.

    This should all definitely be water under the bridge. However, when we started the blog we decided that we wouldn’t be deleting any comments. The reason for this is four fold:

    We appreciate the freedom of speech.
    We believe everything has value.
    We know that issues can be worked out without censorship.
    Finally, the character of someone can be evident through their own actions, not ours.

    We’re thrilled that you have had a warm welcome from this woman. Community is important both in real life and online. We hope that she may at some point view this as a worthy community.

    Thank you for your candor. We hope to see you here again under different circumstances.

    AAAAARGGHHH! I missed the last showing (remember what this thread was about, guys?) And Food Network isn’t showing any future airtimes! Anyone have a link to a stream or even a ‘BCR’ tape? Burn it to DVD from Tivo, come to my house and re-enact it for me, ANYTHING???
