Here’s my report from the chile nursery in Sweden….
Spring has finally made its entrance up here!
Just a week ago the landscape was looking the same here as on Joe & Linda’s photo from when they were going to attend the Fiery food festival and today it’s all gone, several degrees above zero and sunshine. Both humans, dogs and Chile plants are basking in the sun!

In mid January I put my chile seeds in soil and started what is hopefully going to give me a summer with both pleasure and pain! This year, as every year, I decided to not grow too many different kinds of chile. My hothouse is only 6 square metres so I can’t harbour all that much, but as every year I went just a little bit crazy when surfing Pepper Joe’s; http://www.pepperjoe.com/ and Tomato growers; http://www.tomatogrowers.com/ so I ended up with quite a bit more than I can room! Fortunately enough I know some fellow chileheads over here so I just have to share! I ended up with almost 20 different brands of chile. They vary from ordinary Habanero and Biker Billy to purple jalapeno and Naga morich.

I am, of course, especially proud over my two little naga morich plants and if I could I would keep them in a safe! I am really looking forward to tasting my own home grown fruits and too see what inventions that can be done using those little fire crackers!

In the pic’s you see my Naga plants and also bits and pieces of my nursery. Some plants, like the cherry bomb and the Ixtapa (standing separately on the table) has become rather tall while others still hasn’t germinated. But I keep my fingers crossed and say a little prayer!

Aw…look at how cute and unsuspecting they are…now. LOL Can’t wait to hear what you’ll make with this harvest.

Believe me - I nurse them just as precariously as I nursed my litter of boerboels!! They’re going to get big and go straight into a cake I think, since i’m told they have a taste that will remind you of apricots - After that cake none of my friends will ever eat in my house again ;)Hmmm come to think off it - they’re already extremly suspious!
