Hi Linda (& Joe),

Thank you for having me on this great site.

Do you fancy reviewing my new Naga Snakebite Sauce?

Ive developed two versions - one using 5 fresh Naga pods (extreme sauce) and the other a face numbing 10 naga pods.

http://www.thechileman.org/naga_morich.php

Eating 1 pod is bad enough, just ask Johnaton Passow :-)

I've sent you an email to continue a conversation offline, Mark.

As for the seeds and germination... Neither of the Nagas we've gotten, whereever they came from, have, to date, given us any difficulty. (Growing... fuggeddabbouddit). But really, as far as germination goes, if you ask me, black pearls are harder to grow.

Hi Tina,

Nice to here from you. I see you are now one of the reviewers on this great site - I wondered were you had gone to. We must do a tie up with the chileman site (www.thechileman.org) to exchange prominant links and info. I'll make sure the hotzone online is listed as one of our favorite forums in the forum section soon ;-)

Im glad the seeds worked out well. So many claim that Naga Morich are very difficult to germinate - thats bunkum. It the seeds and germination conditions are good, they shouldnt be a problem

OMG, Mark... those were Morich? And all this time, me thinking they were Dorsets!

Doesn't that beat all.

I was expecting you to call at one point... and I forgot all about it. (We still have a conversation to have, btw).

The Naga took almost 100%, not a single seed didn't sprout. All of them have either been given away to people with green thumbs or died. They germinated beautifully, none of mine fruited. All of the ones that I gave away fruited for their owner and have since been plowed under the snow.

There is the exception of one itty bitty plant that refuses to grow taller than four inches and I have it here in my office.

I may know a little something about peppers, but I know absolutely nothing about growing plants.

Just so’s we’re clear on this, Joe, the bhut and the naga are the same pepper. They’ve just been grown in different soil.

Totally agree with you Tina.

Can you remember who first started raving about the Naga Morich last year ;-)

You should remember as I gave you a whole batch of Naga Morich seeds for free!!! You never did tell me what were did with them.

We grow peppers for the love of it, not to make any money out of it.

PS I wonder where Dr Bosland got his Naga seeds from :-) (yes your right) & I havent an ounce of Indian blood in me

I live my life by evidence. I have seen a lot of 'claims', but not much in the way of actual PROOF, even from King DeWitt. I also deal a lot with intent and motive.
We have a guy holding something that says, "Guinness", and it says, "The hottest of all spices is believed to be the chili pepper Bhut Jolokia...". Believed to be?? Is THAT how Guiness verifys something, they believe it to be??? Hmmmmm We are TOLD that its "official". Correct me if I am wrong here, but doesn't Guiness hold their OWN news conferences to announce the records??

WHAT is DeWitts/NMSU's intent/motive here?? Hmmm, lets, DeWitt has signed on with NMSU, writes articles heavily in FAVOR of NMSU, PROMOTING that institution, he has been slamming the indians for at least a year about the quality and character of THEIR pepper, and NOW comes this announcement that the NAGA is THE HOTTEST pepper. Hmmmmmm. Gee, I WONDER WHERE I can get some Naga/Bhut/Jolokia seeds??

Since I do NOT beleive in coincedences, I find it amazing that NMSU starts selling seeds just PRIOR to this. DeWitt seems to be chief spokesman (read salesman) for NMSU. Seems to me that Mr. DeWitt/NMSU have an awfully BIG AX to grind, and at least Dave DeWitt, IMHO, has been behind the scenes grinding his ax to razor sharpness.

Could all of this hype have been set up and PRE-PLANNED to coincide with the Guiness annnouncement?? Makes ya go Hmmmmmmm????

Now that King Dave DeWitt and NMSU are SELLING, (and supposed to be the ONLY ACTUAL ones to do so), I think the intent and motive of ALL of this is clear, its $$$$$$$$, or am I wrong??
