T-minus one day to the Fiery Foods Festival here in Columbus. If you are within driving distance of central Ohio, there’s a lot of reasons to make the trip here to see the show:

Come see if CaJohn can get off the shnide and finally win the Chili Cookoff. He’s been a runner-up a couple of times before, so we hope he can finally add this triumph to his collection.

Come see all the vendors & associated events that will be free & open to the public. It won’t be ZestFest by any margin, but if it’s bigger than last year (and we have every reason to think it will be), then the improvement will be noticeable.

More than anything else, come get out of the cold and have some fun. This festival promises to have its fair share, and you can’t beat the price (free, save for parking).

Come see the chile pepper eating contest. Joe was one of the winners last year, but he’s not optimistic for this year. His competition will be a lot stiffer, as there will be a couple of contestants participating who he knows have greater heat tolerance. We’ll see how long he can hang with the big boys this year…before he incinerates his palate.

We’ll be sure to take lots of pictures, so look forward to seeing those over the next week or so after it’s all said & done. Stay tuned!
