Apparently, the world is just full of chile pepper eaters!! This guy, though, sounds like he would put most to shame…
Mexican chile fan seeks world title

Feb. 4, 2007 12:00 AMMEXICO CITY - When most people eat raw chiles, they turn red hot, break a sweat and rush for a gulp of water. But Manuel Quiroz can guzzle down dozens of Mexico’s hottest chiles, squeeze their juice into his eyes and rub them around his face without as much as blinking.
The 54-year-old Mexico City taxi driver has made thousands of dollars with his talent and wants to become the world champion chile eater. But first he needs to find an organization that can crown him with that title.
“Chiles don’t sting me. They don’t affect me. It’s just like eating fruit,” Quiroz said, crunching on a habanero, Mexico’s hottest chile pepper, as customers in a Mexico City marketplace stare in amazement.
