
Got a quickie message from Patti Levenson from the Mount Horeb Mustard Museum with a reminder about an upcoming event. In it, she says:
Forgot to mention that you can see all the info about the Napa Valley Mustard Festival & World-Wide Mustard Competition at www.mustardfestival.org.
If you know any mustard makers that should enter, let them know that the deadline for entry is Jan 19th (really until the first judging day) so there’s still time to enter.

The Competition
The Napa Valley Mustard Festival presents the eleventh annual World-Wide Mustard Competition in 2007.
The deadline for entries is January 19, 2007. There are 19 categories from Sweet-Hot to Classic Dijon. The competition is overseen by Barry Levenson, curator of the Mount Horeb Mustard Museum in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin.
Medals for first, second, and third place in each category will be presented at The Awards on the evening of Friday, March 16.

Barry Levenson, Curator of The Mount Horeb Mustard Museum in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, provides the guidelines for the World-Wide Mustard Competition and has coordinated the judging panel since it was launched in 1995. Barry and his wife, Patti, attend The Awards and The Marketplace as honored guests of the Napa Valley Mustard Festival.

Celebrate the mustard season and taste mustards from around the world at The Marketplace, the Napa Valley Mustard Festival’s Signature Event, on Saturday and Sunday, March 17 and 18, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at COPIA: The American Center for Wine, Food & the Arts, in Napa.
Mustards and an array of gourmet products will be showcased alongside sensational Wine Country cuisine, world famous wines, hearty craft brews, and fine arts and crafts. Well, I did try some of Kato’s Island sauce and LOVED it. That has mustard in it…and its not neon nasty yellow…..
