One of the newest folks to contact us as one of our Featured Retailers is Mike from Gourmet Mike’s, an online hot & spicy food retailer who hails out of the great state of Utah. Mike’s store carries a fairly wide selection of products, with hot sauces from novelty ones to the major players like Blair, CaJohn, Dave, and many others. From salsas to snacks to BBQ, Gourmet Mike’s has a lot of really cool stuff. One thing we like is their gift sets. It’s a great way to get a selection of different products all at one for your favorite chilehead…even if it’s you! We asked Mike a few brief questions about his business, and his answers were equally as brief. The proof is in the pudding (er, website) that is, so go check out his site and see for yourself. For now, here’s what Mike has to say:
Tell us a little about getting involved in the hot & spicy food business, and your love of hot & spicy foods?
We have always loved spicy foods and love the novelty of it all.
Which of the products that you sell do you like & use the most, and why?
My favorite is Joe Perry’s line, they have done a wonderful job with these sauces.
In a wide world of online retailers of hot & spicy food, what separates you from the competition?
Our customer service and selection is second to none.
For those people who are looking for something a little different, or left-of-center, to try, what would you recommend and why?
I would recommend our wasabi peanuts and our vast selection of gift baskets.
You have a number of really great-looking gift baskets on your site. Were those “standard” mixes of stuff or were those your creation? Tell us about those.
We have put together the “best of the best” on our gift baskets to make it a simple choice for our customers.
Any plans to expand what your business further? If so, how?
We are expanding in the custom label hot sauce sector for our customers.
Short, sweet, and to the point. Thanks, Mike, for joining the growing the HZOB family. Good luck!
