Wow, we finally got around to unpacking all the hot sauces, spice mixes, and other various products that we got during our trip to ZestFest. As you can see, it takes up nearly the entire length of our kitchen table…even when spaced out to make them all look spiffy when put together. Suffice to say, we’ll have stuff to taste, try, and use for weeks (perhaps months) to come. For more specifics of what we got, see these pics:

Here’s our collectibles, minus the T-99’s from Blair since those will be shipped separately. From left to right, these are: Loco Luna’s Festival Reserve (#6/109), NOS from Danny Cash (#28/60), Caveat Emptor from CaJohn (#3/100), iHot from Danny Cash, and Light You Up by CaJohn (#3/48)

Not disrespecting the hot sauces, but we just didn’t get all that many compared to a lot of others. The few we did get were out-freakin’-standing! From L to R: Boyle’s Irish Scream from Porky’s Gourmet, 2 bottles of Toxic Tonic (signed) from the Three Hot Tamales, Special Pepper Sauce by Bello, and 2 bottles of Tropical Mischief (also signed) by Mischief Makers Hot Sauce. Even though a couple of these are technically collectible, they look so good we may have to crack a couple of ‘em open to give them a try.

From left to right: 2 jars of Flat Lime salsa by Big Dawg Salsa, 2 jars of green chile sauce and 1 of red chile sauce from My Favorite New Mexico Foods, Orange Peppercorn Marinade from Legends BBQ, Crazzberry Fiesta from the Art of Chipotle, Habanero Horseradish Mustard, Sweet & Nicely Hot Mustard, and Hit & Run Brown Horseradish Mustard from the Mt. Horeb Mustard Museum

From left to right: Rub Me the Right Way sweet rub by Three Hot Tamales, Rescue and Salvage spice mixes from Big Dawg Salsa, Cabernet Wine Sauce by Leaning Oaks, Bellycheer Gourmet Sugar Free Zesty Hot Grilling Sauce by Porky’s Gourmet, Hot BBQ and Fresh Marinade by Mr. Mojo, 2 jars of Tarka Masala by Kaurinas, and Devil’s Own Jerk Seasoning by Devil’s Own Sauces

(BTW…we’re trying out a new graphics/photo editor since our old one seems to pixelate our photos a little too much. We were using Microsoft Picture It!, but now we’re using the Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI. Let us know if you think the pics are looking better than usual.)

Jon,
If you start now and save some pennies, we might meet ya again in Ft. Worth next year. If we split the cost of a suite, it might be more affordable for all of us. For a chilehead like yourself, you’d be in spicy food nirvana!

I see you got some of that wine compote stuff. Dang that was tasty. Those mustards from poupon U. were all great. Susie made some deviled eggs with the Hit and Run mustard last night, Best deviled eggs ever!
Did the jar of Ogoun make it home with you?

Chuk,
Yup, the Ugoun made it home just fine and has taken up residence on the shelf with all our other swag from ZestFest. I’m thinking of taking it to work one day to let a few of my co-workers suffer from…I mean try…the sauce. - J
