Da Bomb

Ingredients: Orange juice, habaneros, chipotle peppers, water, natural pepper flavoring [read: pepper extract], tomato paste and spices.

Da’ Bomb: Beyond Insanity is the lowest in heat (119,700 SHU) in a three part series of products by Original Juan (Beyond Insanity,Ground Zero, and Final Answer) and I must say, this product really had potential. From it’s ominous disclaimer of using it one drop at a time, to its nice, glossy label, all the way down to the intriguing use of Orange juice as its main ingredient.

Unfortunitly, Da’ Bomb proved to be a dud. Now, don’t get me wrong, it does set off the heat sensors but it also sets off all the wrong taste buds. For a millisecond you get a sweet taste of Orange juice, which is immediately killed by the chemical taste of extract. When I say killed, I mean burnt to ashes by the nuclear inferno of bad tasting extract. This sauce is bitter to the taste, which lingers on your taste buds well after the heat starts to die down. The bitterness is so overpowering that I can’t taste anything else that this sauce has to offer.

I really don’t have much else to say about this sauce. It has a nicely designed label and a cool marketing concept but other then that, I say save your money and get CaJohn’s Ace instead.

Does anyone ever use the sauces in that series for anything other than pranks or dares? I don’t think people buy it for the taste.
