Here comes the first of many posts about our recent trip to Hollywood for the hot sauce movie. We did a little hot sauce shopping at a store called Light My Fire which is located in a nifty little shopping area called the Grove there in L.A. While shopping we found this and couldn’t resist:

It’s definitely not hot sauce…nor is it even hot & spicy. As self-professed coffee snobs/aficionados, we just had to pick up a pound to see what it tasted like. After trying it, we can safely say that the taste didn’t live up to the package title. Some alternate product names might be:

“Now I’m up, but this tastes like %#^%!!!”

“What the heck is this %#&%^*&?”

“I woke up for this?!!!”

“You’ll wake the %^*^ up, then need to go out for Starbucks.”

You get the idea. Not good coffee…regardless of what hot sauce shop where we purchased it. Maybe if it had some chile powder or something it might be better. As it stands, it’s barely a step above Folger’s. One cup of this, and I think we’ll need some hot sauce just to wash the taste of it down our gullets…sheesh!
